Rail X is a highly versatile machine for Rail Road construction, maintenance and repair. With its specifically designed undercarriage, The Rail X is transformed from a regular tracked excavator to a monster work tool.
Our undercarriage is a purpose-built car body that is heavier and wider than the original undercarriage. This allows the tracks to straddle rail lines and counterweights are added to provide greater balance during work and travel.
With the self contained, retractable, hydraulic powered rail wheels, the excavator moves on and off the rail in less than 5 minutes, making off rail clean up more efficient.
